Pytronic, through its subsidiary Interaktiva Fastigheter, has been entrusted by Wästbygg to carry out a comprehensive technology upgrade in a residential property consisting of 82 rental apartments. The project replaces an older smart home system from Compare-it with Wiser by Schneider Electric, fully integrated with Pytronic’s Homecore platform.
The upgrade will provide residents with a modern, future-proof, and user-friendly system for managing their homes — improving comfort, safety, and long-term energy performance.
With Wiser, tenants gain full control over lighting and key home functions, while also benefiting from real-time leak detection for enhanced safety. Through integration with Homecore, the property will gradually enable advanced energy features such as consumption visualization, automated control, and future energy optimization.
The system can easily be expanded with additional smart products available in standard retail channels, giving both the property owner and tenants the flexibility to build upon their smart home functionality without relying on proprietary components.
– “For us, it was important to work with a partner that takes responsibility for the entire chain and supports us from installation to programming and ongoing support,” says Emir Hadzic, Head of Support, Region South at Wästbygg.
The building itself has a strong sustainability profile and is constructed entirely in wood. The project aims for the Miljöbyggnad Gold certification, where smart control of energy and lighting plays a crucial role in achieving efficiency, comfort, and operational reliability.
Through the installation of Wiser and Homecore, each apartment will gain access to features such as:
switching off lights via the app
power-off safety control for kitchen outlets
pre-programmed lighting scenes that tenants can adjust
easy expansion with additional smart products and services over time
– “This project demonstrates how Pytronic, together with our installation subsidiary Interaktiva Fastigheter, can take responsibility for the full delivery — from platform and system architecture to installation and commissioning. We are grateful for the trust placed in us by Wästbygg, and it aligns perfectly with our ambition to grow within complex turnkey projects where technology and functionality must integrate seamlessly,” says Hampus Oxenborg, Founder of Pytronic and Interaktiva Fastigheter.
Installation, programming, and commissioning will take place during 2025 and Q1 2026.
The project represents an important step in Pytronic’s long-term strategy to deliver scalable, flexible, and future-proof smart home and energy solutions for residential developers and property owners.
