BeSmå, the Swedish Energy Agency’s network for energy-efficient single-family homes, has carried out an innovation procurement to drive the development of integrated control systems for residential buildings.
In strong competition, Pytronic and its platform Homecore were selected as one of two winners, marking a major breakthrough for the company and its vision for the future of smart energy management.

Pytronic Homecore – A New Standard for Smart Homes and Energy Efficiency.

Sweden’s energy system is undergoing rapid transformation, with AI and machine learning opening new possibilities to optimize electricity use in homes. Despite technological advancements, there has been a lack of a comprehensive solution to coordinate control of solar panels, appliances, heat pumps, ventilation, EV chargers, lighting, and other energy-intensive functions in single-family homes.
Homecore solves this through a centralized, AI-powered platform that gives households full control over their energy usage – without the need for multiple apps and systems.

A unique feature of Homecore is its ability to manage electricity use in real-time based on electricity prices, weather data, and solar production. This reduces both household energy costs and grid stress, while also promoting more sustainable energy consumption.

The Innovation Procurement Confirms Homecore’s Market Potential.

The goal of BeSmå’s innovation procurement was to promote market-driven solutions for both new and existing homes. After an extensive evaluation process, Pytronic and Homecore were selected as one of the winners – a significant validation of the company’s technical strength and its potential to become a key player in smart energy control.

Winning this innovation procurement is a great recognition of our team and our vision. Homecore is developed to make smart energy control accessible to everyone, and we look forward to contributing to a more sustainable future”, says Hampus Oxenborg, CEO of Pytronic.

Next Step – From Innovation to Real-World Impact.

As part of the procurement, BeSmå is now exploring the possibility of launching a demonstration project where Homecore will be tested in actual households. For Pytronic, this presents an opportunity to further refine the Homecore platform ahead of a broader market launch.

With this success, Pytronic and Homecore take an important step toward becoming the go-to platform for smart homes and energy efficiency. Homecore is not just a product – it’s a new standard for how homes manage energy in the future.
